Pacific County Historical Society and Museum
     The Pacific County Historical Society is a private, not-for-profit, charitable organization devoted to preserving and presenting the history of Pacific County, Washington, USA.  The Society was incorporated with the State of Washington and registered with the US Internal Revenue Service as a 501(C)(3) institution in 1966.  We are supported by over 600 dues paying members around the world, as well as donations, grants, and book sales.

  16. What we do at the museum:
    • Basic research by staff and volunteers is free, but this non-profit organization welcomes donations.  Extensive research may be arranged by contacting the museum by email.
    • Our collections include approximately 10,000 photos, 500 lineal feet of archival materials, a library of 300 published historical volumes, and approximately 1500 historical and natural history objects.
    • Collecting areas include natural history, local Indian history, transportation, natural resources, communities, maritime, and cultural history.
    • Our reference materials include an index to proper names in the Pacific County newspapers, census index, and oral histories.
