Page Two: Oyster Plate Varieties

 

We noted in the introduction that oyster plates are distinquished by the wide variety in all aspects. Perhaps the only commonality was the fact they were manufactured for the sole purpose of serving oysters. As a temporary measure this page will attempt to display an ever changing set of plates to illustrate this diversity. If and when there is some feedback from others interested in and knowledgeable about oyster plates we can start to break the subject matter into more informative catagories. For the time being please enjoy the variation in a once very popular serving item.
