Capital Improvement Projects

At the same time that County budgets are prepared, the County Engineer, with input from the FCAB, prepares an annual plan of District activities, including administration, planning and engineering, operations and maintenance, and capital improvements. This Capital Improvement Plan typically looks forward over a period of six years. The Board of Supervisors then holds a public hearing to receive comments on and adopt the plan. Upon adoption of the plan, the Department of Public Works integrates the plan into its yearly planning cycle, and administers the financing of the plan. A copy of the Capital Improvement Plan follows.
