Minutes of a regular session of the Pacific County Board of Health held on July 8, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Courthouse Annex in South Bend, Washington. Present were Chairman Jon C. Kaino, Commissioner Norman “Bud” Cuffel, Commissioner Clay Harwood and Kathy Noren-Clerk of the Board. Other elected and appointed officials and staff in attendance included Bryan Harrison-County Administrative Officer, Don Larsen-Director of Public Works/County Engineer, Mike Collins-DPW Operations Manager, Tim Crose-Vegetation Management Director, Faith Taylor-Eldred, Joe Camenzind-Telecommunications Engineer, Kathy Spoor-Director of Public Health & Human Services, Lisa Ayers-Fiscal and Management Analyst, Sheriff John Didion and Katie Oien-Lindstrom-Human Services Program Manager. Others in attendance included Fred Hill, Peter Constable and Kathy Bale. (Please refer to attendance roster for those in attendance and recordings of the meeting for a more detailed discussion)
Commissioner Harwood moved to approve minutes of the June 24, 2008 meeting. Commissioner Cuffel seconded, motion carried.
Commissioner Cuffel moved to approve Rainbow Valley Landfill Claim Vouchers for payment to Pacific County P.U.D. #2 in the amount of $73.07 and to Royal Heights Transfer Station in the amount of $852.06 all subject to adequate budget appropriations. Commissioner Harwood seconded, motion carried.
Commissioner Harwood moved to reschedule the August 12, 2008 Board of Health meeting to Monday, August 11, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. due to scheduling conflicts. Commissioner Cuffel seconded, motion carried.
Fred Hill was in attendance and requested ordinances relating to septic installation. Faith Taylor-Eldred stated she would get the information to Mr. Hill.
There being no further issues to come before the Board of Health, Chairman Kaino adjourned the meeting.
