Coordinating Council

It is the purpose of the Willapa Bay Water Resources Coordinating Council to bring together all user-groups of the Bay's resources to create a means where common goals and mutual understanding are shared. Furthermore, it is the purpose of the Council to retain decision making and problem solving functions in the local arena by a committee of user groups, who are most affected by such actions. The Council serves as overseer for the drafting and implementation of the Willapa Bay Water Quality Plan and all subsequent documents. The Council is accessible to the general public for public comment. As an organization, the Council is committed to preserving and protecting both Willapa Bay and its natural resources. Council members are appointed for 3 year terms.

The Council meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month from 6-8 pm. Meetings are usually held in the EOC Meeting Room at the Courthouse. Meeting date and time is subject to change. Please contact the Clerk at (360) 875-9356 or (360) 642-9356 for the exact time and location.
