Human Services Advisory Council

The Pacific County Human Services Advisory Council was established to assist the Public Health and Human Services Department and the County Commissioners in providing quality health and social services to the citizens of Pacific County.
The purposes of the Council are:
To advise the Board of Pacific County Commissioners on all matters pertaining to the needs, services, and special problems of the Chemical Dependency Treatment, Prevention and Developmental Disabilities programs.
Coordinate programs with the goal of maximizing the efficiency of the services delivered and to minimize service voids within the county.
To carry out the provisions of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and rules and regulations by:
- Review and evaluation of the needs, services, and special problems that exist in the county.
- Receive and review applications for financial support.
- Review and recommend approval for the financial and service components of the County Human Services programming.
Each year the council sets specific goals and outlines specific steps to attain these goals. Council members are appointed by the Board of Commissioners to three year terms.
