Setting SMTP Authentication in OS X Mail ver. 1.2

The following configuration instructions will help you configure OS X Mail to allow SMTP Authentication.

To begin, open your OS X Mail email program.

From the Mail menu, select Preferences

 

Click the Accounts item to bring up the accounts preferences panel and click Edit.

 

 

Click Options to bring up the SMTP Server Options panel 

 

 

From the drop down list next to Authentication, select Password.

Enter your willapabay.org user name in the User Name window and your mail password in the Password field

Your user name is the first part of your email address. For example, if your email address was beachluvr @ willapabay.org, you would enter beachluvr as the user name.

Click OK on all screens to save your changes.
